'Bramble' Blackberry & Apple Cocktail
The 'Bramble' is a spring-time British take on a Gin Sour, originating in the 1980's in London's Soho.
The name "Bramble" comes from the bramble bush, where blackberries grow.

Classic British Bramble Gin Cocktail
Bramble Cocktail Recipe
If Bond was in his garden in spring time, with the sun shining and the birds singing, he'd most certainly make himself a quintessentially British cocktail that is the 'Bramble'.
For this, we use our classic 'LONDON Dry Gin' which is made with London apples and linden blossom and add the crucial ingredient 'Crème de mûre' (a blackberry liqueur).
To make it extra special and extra British, we garnish it with a slice of apple (we use locally-sourced London apples in the making of our London Dry Gin!)
The result: a delightfully sweet, refreshing British spring time cocktail.
40ml 'LONDON' Dry Gin made using London apples and linden blossom
Cubed ice (for shaking/mixing)
Crushed ice (to serve)
20ml fresh lemon juice
10ml sugar syrup
15ml crème de mûre (if you don't have this then you can use crème de cassis)
Red or Green apple
Pre-chill your glass. We recommend a rocks / old fashioned glass.
Get your cocktail shaker.
Add in 40ml LONDON Dry Gin.
Add in 20ml fresh lemon juice.
Add in 10ml sugar syrup.
Fill shaker with cubed ice.
Close the lid and give it a VIGOROUS SHAKE for about 5-10 seconds.
Meanwhile, fill your pre-chilled glass with crushed ice.
Now, double strain your shaken liquid into your glass.
Pro Tip: make a little hold in the crushed ice in your glass with a straw or end of a spoon, and then strain your liquid through this hole so it neatly fills the glass.
Now, float 15ml crème de mûre over the top.
Last but not least, garnish with a slice of apple and a blackberry.
Sit back and enjoy your Bramble Cocktail!
