💛 £10 donated to charity: water for each bottle sold

About Ugandan Honey Gin:

Honey has been a source of sweetness in African life since the dawn of humanity, and through the diversity of nature in terms of the composition of the different ecosystems, the seasons, and even the preferences of different species of bees, the Honey found in each country, region or even a specific hive, will be a unique expression of the flora of that immediate area.

We've partnered with charity: water to craft a Ugandan Honey Gin, putting botanicals from Uganda at the heart of the mix. Honey is the hero of this gin recipe, complemented by orange peel and a hint of vanilla. It’s refreshing and zingy, perfect as we head towards those summer months!

For every bottle sold, Jim & Tonic will donate £10 to fund a water project in Uganda and 100% of the donation goes straight to that project. Once built, the team will receive GPS co-ordinates and photos of the exact water point their gin has funded. It’s as transparent as the gin they’ve distilled.

Who is charity: water ?

771 million people lack safe and clean drinking water. Which is massive, but it’s a problem these guys and gals know how to fix!

charity: water is on a mission to do that transparently- every penny donated goes straight to local partners to deliver sustainable clean water projects in areas of greatest need. They prove every project, using innovative technology and powerful storytelling to connect you with your impact.

To date, 41% of Ugandans lack basic access to clean water and just 16% have access to basic sanitation services. This is due to a variety of factors. Low groundwater potential has complicated drilling and an increase of heavy rainy seasons have led to waterlogging and flooding of latrines, impacting nearby water quality. While safe to drink, Uganda's acidic groundwater has also caused corrosion to galvanized iron pipes and serious damage to old water points.

With your help, we can solve the water crisis in our lifetime.

Who are Jim & Tonic?

Started by Jim (who else!) with a mission to ensure quality gin and sustainability went hand-in-hand.

What started out as a hobby has now grown into a network of London gin bars and a sustainable distillery, making a range of gins and other spirits.

We are London's sustainable urban distillery. Why buy from us?

Sustainable Production Methods

We only distil with Organic Grain Alcohol in line with Soil Association standards.

The condenser of our still is cooled through a 'closed-loop' water system to significantly reduce energy and water wastage.

We redistil the heads and tails from our gin production to create Triple Secs and ‘Zero Waste’ Vodkas that we serve at our London gin bars.

URBAN LONDON BOTANICALS

Wherever possible we grow our own botanicals using urban farming techniques, or source them from local London suppliers, including local community gardens.

We compost any waste botanicals and use as soil fertiliser.

Leftover citrus from our bars is used to make Triple Sec and other ‘waste’ fruits used to distil limited edition fruit spirits.

ECO-FRIENDLY PACKAGING

We package and ship our online orders using primarily recycled and 100% recyclable materials.

Our bottle labels are made of cane fibre (more sustainable than traditional paper) and printed using vegetable-based inks.

Our bottles are some of the lightest you'll find, meaning we reduce carbon-emissions when they're in transit.
